Hi, My great-grandfather, Alfred Tarleton SINKER and his wife Rebecca nee COATES lived in Indianapolis and were members of a literary society named 'The Fiat Lux'. Apparently, in 1876 he was vice president of the society according to some papers which which are in our family's possession. Has anyone else ever come across references to this society? I was wondering how long it existed and if there are any records which still might exist. - Ed Sinker
