Hi Diane, I don't know what a marriage annulment contains. I ordered a divorce packet (14 pages!) from Darke Co, OH that I'm waiting on. The researcher gave me a real brief run down: the year (1892), and the names and ages of the living kids. I wondered what the full record said, so I ordered it. I don't know how similar it will be to the Catholic annulments. I can let you know if you like. I've just uncovered a marriage annulment from 1914 for my great-grandfather (a catholic) in Indianapolis. Has anyone requested an annulment record?...and what info might it provide?...other than a bit of personal insight. Thanks, Diane
Hello, I have my G Grandmother's (Anna Francis Smith Clendening) baptism certificate. A Nora Smith signed as one of the sponsors. My Grandmother's father was Edward Smith. I don't know if Nora was his sister or mother. I have 2 copies obtained from Anna's papers, as apparently she did not have a birth certificate, and used the baptism certificate as proof of birth date. The other copy reads: Eleanor Smith. I have searched all over Ancestry to no avail. Of course Edward Smith is still a brick wall, so following that lead is out. The baptism was June 23, 1883 in Indy. I am hoping the lady below is her, and some smart cookie can help me find more info. This is from the Indianapolis Phone Book. Name: Nora Smith Location 1: 152 N Meridian City: Indianapolis State: IN Occupation: cook Year: 1889 Thank You----------Cece

Thank you to ALL who answered me about the Tech and St. Mary's schools. I so appreciate it. When I first started in genealogy, I remember looking at the prices of some CD's with data from different states. Of course I checked out Indiana first, and I seem to recall some very expensive (compared to the others) census' of the City of Indianapolis. Do I recall some 1890 or 1900 city data ? I can't find a link to visit again, and wondered if I dreamed the whole thing ?!! Here's to a Pork Tenderloin Sandwich and Cherry 99, as I used to have at the Tee Pee !!! Cece

St. Mary's Academy as I recall was ONE block East of North New Jersey St., in the 300 block. Not sure of the street. It was a very short street. I was only a teenager at that time, remembering it now. good wishes for you. Marine45
Hi and thanks for writing back- Mom says it was St. Mary's Academy. She doesn't know what street. I googled a St. Mary's church in Indy and tried to call them, but no one answered. The web page says St. Mary's/ Immaculate Conception. I hope they have an archive somewhere.
