    3. I was just entering all of the inlaws and outlaws into my Family Tree Maker on my father's (RI Inman) line, and I stumbled across something interesting. This is from Amos Carpenter's "Rehobeth Carpenter" book: The family of John Carpenter. John was a son of William Carpenter and Priscilla Bennett. He was born Oct. 19, 1652. His wife was Rebecca Readaway (lst wife), and his second wife was a widow named Sarah Day, relict of Ralph Day of Dedham, MA. Child No. 7, John Carpenter, who was born in Woodstock, Windham CT abt 1698/1699. Wife: "probably" Ruth Innman, of Cranston, RI. Does anyone know the identity of this Ruth Inman? One of the Edward Inmans (wife Dorcas) (son of Edward Inman & Mary Malavery--son of Edward Inman and Elizabeth Bennett--son of Edward Inman of Rhode Island) had a daughter named Ruth--but this was much later than the Carpenter/Inman connection to which I am referring. That Ruth married Phillip Mowry, and they were living in Dudley in 1773. That Ruth is mentioned in the Will of Edward Inman 4th dated September 12, 1774 as Ruth the wife of Phillip Mowry.
