You have so much wonderful information here, I decided to post a copy of it to the Inman and Spence lists because I think that you connect with a bunch of people here. I am currently looking into that Hezekiah Inman business and how it ties in with my Samuel Inman. You also mentioned something that caught my eye that might make some sort of connection with my Spence line: Obion County, TN. I have a Garrett family I am looking for there. In 1842, James Garrett of Williamson County, TN married Jane Spence, the daughter of Elisha Spence and his second wife, Jane Bell. The Garretts moved to Haywood County, and Jane's younger brother, Joseph, also lived there, where they all appear on the 1850 or 1860 Census. I don't know what happened to the Garretts, but I think they went to Obion County. You mentioned your Methodist connections. Well, James Garrett may have been a Methodist minister. His father was a circuit rider, at any rate. Your Harris connection interests me. A huge family of Harrises settled in Augusta County, VA where they intermarried with the Andersons (I descend from a line of Andersons), the Robertsons, the Turks, and the Kerrs. I don't know all of their "ins" and "outs" as yet--but I am looking at them. Thank you for your message.
