I spent the weekend loading my website with tons of pictures. I am really happy that someone else added some Spencer pictures to the site! Thank you so very much. I invite others to do so. Among the latest goodies: 1. Thomas Sharpe Spencer (a sketch) 2. John of Gaunt--main photo and a profile distinguishing his nose 3. Tons of Spence Cemetery stuff from Jasper County, MO 4. Abednego Inman's gravesite, the cemetery where he is buried, and his house, which still stands beside the cemetery. The house was built in 1820, so he lived there the last ten years of his life. 5. Jane Spencer's tombstone from Moss Springs Cemetery. She was the wife of William Spencer. She died in 1870. William (a direct descendant of Joseph Spencer of Lee Valley, VA), married the widow of John David Jones, son of Lewis Jones and Milly Catherine Spence (daughter of Elisha Spence and Susannah Spencer). The second marriage did not last; John Davey's widow then moved to Kansas, married an Ady, and return to "play havoc" with William Spencer's life (per the court case on file at the website). William Spencer is buried to his first wife (Jane) in Moss Springs, but when I was there in 1995, I could only find Jane Spencer's tombstone.
