    3. I am looking for further information on my gg-grandmother. Has anyone found an Inman daughter in their searching that fits the following description? I would be interested in following all leads as we have searched for birth records, census records, obituaries, etc. all to no avail. I have found the following information about her: -Born 4 May 1861 or 1864 in Ohio or Indiana (depending on which census you want to believe). -Married Park Werter Cowan in Wayne Co, Ohio on 1 Jan 1884 (listed on marriage certificate as Carrie A. Inman, no birthdate, birthplace, parents or further information listed). -She and Park divorced sometime around 1900 according to letters written by her son to his wife during WWI. -After her divorce, she lived in Ashland, Ohio. Park's family all lived there and she was very close with Park's sisters through all of her adult life. However, she traveled extensively from coast to coast on a regular basis visiting friends, her ex-husbands sisters and their children, as well as her own children and grandchildren. (I have several pictures of her with family members in various parts of the country from about 1900 to 1920.) -In the fall of 1920 she visited her younger son and daughter-in-law (my great-grandparents) and their new baby (my great aunt) in Arkansas where they were stationed with the Army. This is the last written documentation we have of her whereabouts. -We have a picture (judging by the ages of the children is circa 1930) that shows her with her granddaughters and one great-child. It appears this picture was taken on the porch of a home in Louisiana or Mississippi. Thought nothing more than first names are listed on the back. -My grandfather vaguely remembers hearing that his grandmother died right after he got married. He thinks it was about October of 1945. He is almost positive that she was living with one of her granddaughters (my grandfather's cousin) in New Orleans at the time. (I have searched death records and obituaries in New Orleans and the state of Louisiana to no avail.) -Carrie was a tall woman - at least 6 feet judging by the pictures we have. She was very thin and had thick, light brown hair that turned shock white in her old age. It is possible that she had adult on-set or gestational diabetes as my great-grandfather weighed over 12 pounds when he was born. I have been unable to find any references, allusions or otherwise to her origin. My great grandfathers letters and papers never mention grandparents on his mother's side. We have a few pictures of Carrie but all the people in the pictures are either children, grandchildren, her ex-husband's relatives or people identified as "friend.". I am wondering if anyone has a Carrie or Caroline Inman that they have come across that disappears in their records around 1884. Thanks in advance for any help you might offer!
