    3. I descend from two branches of Inmans. I think they came from Yorkshire, but that doesn't mean some of them didn't wander up to Scotland. My maiden name is Inman and on my father's side, I descend from Edward Inman of Rhode Island (1619-1706). On my mother's side, I descend from Meshach Inman of North Carolina (1749-1769). His ancestry is disputed, but he is believed to have descended from Robin the Bold of Yorkshire. There are some people on my Inman list who have mentioned having ancestors in Scotland. I encourage you to post your ancestors on the Inman Compendium and to join in our discussions here. We'd love to have you.
