    3. I had a streak of good luck happen recently. One of the small libraries in Boulder contacted me concerning a family history section the library no longer had space for, and the librarians decided that Barbara Beall would just love to have this material. The material moved into my house on Friday: old DAR magazines dating back to 1909 with TONS of family history. The older magazines are so precious because they contain less advertising than the current publications. Before, during and after the First World War, DAR ran roster lists of troop units (Revolutionary War), county marriage and probate records, etc. You name it--the organization ran it. Besides queries, they published answers to those queries, and I discovered some fabulous information while just skimming through a few of the older issues. So, I now have a tiny genealogical library in my house and shouldn't have to run to the main library for a while. If I make any outstanding discoveries, I will certainly keep you posted. Barbara P.S. If I hadn't claimed those old magazines, they could well have been round-filed because the library absolutely did not have room for them any more. ===== Dr.Barbara Inman Beall, BBeall43@yahoo.com, BIBeall@email.msn.com Online Journal: http://twigs-of-inman-spence.rootsweb.com For permission to access MyFamily.com database: Barbara 4902@myfamily.com __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
