Hello cousins/fellow researchers. I received this email recently, and it sounds like this person could be my cousin, but I do not have an Eli Inman Coats in my database. I am copying part of her email to me here. This is interesting because I have a Martha Martindale Leavell Coats who married George Coats. Martha's first husband was APH Leavell. A daughter of Martha and APH married William Inman. This William Inman's father was Eli Inman. This whole group was in Benton County, Iowa, just as this person says. This family was quite close and I can see why one of the descendants would name their son Eli Inman Coats. Her name is Maryls Rice and her email is: huskerette@hotmail.com Here is her email, in part: "Our RICES were in Benton Co, Ia., as well as the COATS family, MINERs, and they married into the KELLOGGs, and LOVELLs. I noticed your mention of INMAN---I have an Eli Inman COATS who is buried in Koszta, Ia., just south of Benton Co. I have no idea why his name is INMAN, but wondered if you happen to have a RICE in your tree like that." Does any of this ring bells to you?
