    3. That Carmack name caught my attention. Years ago, my husband lived in Plattsburg, Missouri (he was around ten or eleven years old, I think). We were married in 1964 and in 1965, we moved to Parkville, Missouri where he finished his undergraduate work at Park College. One weekend, he decided to drive up to Plattsburg, so I tagged along with him. He found a Mr. and Mrs. Carmack (who were then in their 90s) whom he remembered from his childhood. Since so many Kentucky people relocated to various parts of Missouri, there may have been some sort of connection between these Missouri Carmacks and yours. Unfortunately, I do not recall their first names. I just barely remember what they looked like and the fact that I was surprised that they were still driving!
