Mr. Inman was born in Lockhart on August 1 1929, a son of the late Jim and Mattie Millwood Inman. He was a member of Morningside Baptist Church, a deacon, Director of the Training Union, member of the Brotherhood and Chairman of the Usher board. Mr. Inman was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was retired from General Motors in Flint, Mich. after 33 years of service. Surviving in addition to his wife are two step-daughters, Linda Beard Smith and George Anne Beard Osborne, both of Union; three step-sons, Dennis G. Beard of West Columbia, George E. Beard Jr. of Lexington and Clyde Thomas Hen-derson of Flint, Mich.; two half-sis-ters, Virgie Smith of Union and Eva Horton of Sharon; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3 P.M. at Morningside Baptist Chruch by the Rev. Eddie Saxton, Rev. Joe Stover and Rev.Larry Plyler. Burial will in Rose-mont Cemetery.Active pallbearerswill be Jimmy Chastain, Colon Duckett, Claude Bobo, Frank Raines, J.D.Giaines and Marion McAbee. The following are asked to assem-ble at the church Wednesday at 2 :45p.m. to form the honorary escort: Carroll and Jerry Sailors, Arville and Valerie Medford, Louis Jordan Sr., Louis Jordan Jr., Juanita Wilburn, Ruth Windell, Whitney Smith and Pete Berry. Members of the Robert Dill Sunday School Class of Morningside Baptist Church are asked to sit in a group. The body will remain at the funeral home where the fainily will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 and will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Wednesday to await the hour of ser-vi ce. The family is at the home, 707 Arthur Boulevard, Union. The S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
