    1. Re: {not a subscriber} Benjamin INMAN (d.1774), of SC and his origins

    3. You know, I've been thinking the same thing. I'm working on Ezekiel Inman, father of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego of NC/TN fame. And I have just about concluded the Ezekiel was the son of Abraham Inman (son of Edward Inman and Mary Malavery). This Edward was a son of Edward Inman and Elizabeth Bennett. I've been digging around in NC and SC records and have found too many interpersonal occurrences between SMA and the Inmans of Newberry! I have a double descent on the Inman line. My father's line dates back through Edward Inman of RI, (down through several Edwards to Joseph Inman and his son Daniel, etc.) My maiden name was Inman. My mother descends from Meschach through an intermarriage of her Spences with the Inmans. I can't hold up the documentation that says "yes this is so!" But when I put everything together, I believe that you are right!!!! (P.S. My cousin once wrote me that some of the early RI Inmans were Quakers!!!!)
