I haven't vanished. I am currently writing Vol. 2 of the online Twigs of Inman & Spence Journal, which is going to focus on the Missouri lines, place special empahsis on the Civil War, and be the last volume in that series. Then I am going to switch my focus to other family lines. I am currently buried in Missouri Civil War Books and just acquired one I cannot put down: "Bloody Bill Anderson"--a recent book I acquired from the History Club. I am suspicious that his family connects with the Scotch-Irish Andersons of Augusta County, VA. Bloody Bill was born in Kentucky--some of the Augusta County Andersons went to Kentucky. While arranging my office at home, I re-discovered a notebook full of information I acquired about the Missouri Guerilla Fighters concerning name and "chieftan" or "gang leader". Have made some interesting discoveries there. So, I'm having fun. I hope to have Vol. 2 on the Rootsweb site sometime during Spring Break. When it is loaded onto the site, I am going to "zap" Vol. 1. Vol. 1 will be available online only for another month. Some changes to Vol. 1: SPENCE: Angeline Penelope, half sister of Samuel, Daniel and Milly Catherine, b. 1813. She married David Lamasters in Jasper County, MO in 1843--I have the marriage license to prove it. However, I have been in contact with descendants of David Lamasters and Elisha Hamby who have given me different names for their wives. I am beginning to think that Angeline may have died in 1844 or 1845 in childbirth.. BUNCH: The old guerilla fighter again. I had thought that his father was a son of James Bunch and Ruth Hibbs. However, I received information from some descendants of Bunch/Hibbs who told me that that James Bunch died young. James Bunch (the guerilla fighter), came from the Louisa County Bunches--however, I am beginning to think that his father settled in Eastern TN with the Haskins family. The Bunches and the Haskins moved to Missouri together--so, I have something more to look into. SOME SNIGGLY DATES AND TYPOS. Not a huge number--but they need to be changed.
