    1. The Inman Compendium is back up and running.
    2. The Inman Compendium Mail List
    3. We are back. We made it in one piece and still had energy left for the company that was waiting for us when we returned. Almost all of the goals of the trip were accomplished. We did, however, get rained out of two cemeteries and one was closed. But we did get to visit 19 cemeteries and the photos and maps will be posted as soon as I can get to all of the material. There was one most unusual situation that we ran into and I am hoping that some of you might be able to help us solve this problem. I stopped at Mount Moriah Cemetery in south Kansas City to see if there were any Inmans buried there. The lady said there were 10 Inmans there. When I asked if she would tell me where they were located so that I could find them and get the data, she said "No." Since I didn't know who they were I could not get their location. But it came out that if I did know who they were that I could get copies of their cards on file. It was all or none with this place. This is the only time that I have ever had this problem arise. What I need from you is to know whether any of you have family buried in this cemetery. If so, would you polease let me know who they are so that when I go back next year I will be able to get photos of their headstones. Thanks to those who helped in making the trip and research easier this summer. I will be writing to each of you as I get to the files for you locations. Please be patient. JIM --- This email is going to Jim's email list and to the Rootsweb List which is why you might get two copies. Please go to http://inman.surnameweb.org/guest/guestlist.html if you wish to be removed from this list. If you have questions you can email me at inman@surnameweb.org.

    1. From the Listowner: Staying Intact
    2. Dr. Barbara Inman Beall
    3. I found someone to take over the Spencer GenConnect Board. My intention is to retain these two lists: Inman and Spence; and to also retain the GenConnect Boards for these surnames. Perhaps I am beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel in that much of the turmoil now seems to be settling down. I have unsubscribed from the Spencer, Hopper, and Jasper County, Missouri lists. As I said, I will continue hosting Inman & Spence discussion and board lists, and will limit my activity to those. I will continue to focus on my two "Twig" websites. Anything more would be impossible to handle. My thanks to those who contacted me. My husband underwent a procedure yesterday that helped him tremendously. So I think that we are going to make it through this. Other problems have also seemed to settle. So meanwhile, back at the ranch.... 1. Curtailing what I do
    2. Dr. Barbara Inman Beall
    3. I am the listowner for the Inman and Spence discussion lists on Rootsweb. I also oversee the Inman, Spence, Hopper, and Spencer GenConnect Boards on Rootsweb. Plus I have some other projects on the web. My summer has become a soap opera; I won't go into all of the details. Briefly, my husband was injured in a car accident in the spring and other things have been taking place as well. All of that including my busy teaching schedule has restricted what I am able to do with genealogy. As a result, I have taken the following actions: 1. Scrapped the Wyverns 'n Harts online newsletter for the moment. I don't have the time to keep up with it. (I'll put it on hold for the future). 2. I plan to continue hosting the Inman and Spence discussion lists and GenConnect Boards, and the Spencer and Hopper GenConnect Boards (unless someone would like to take them over). 3. My main focus will be on my Twigs-of-Inman & Spence online journal at Rootsweb and my website at MyFamily.com. I've restructured the journal so that I will not be under the gun on deadlines. My crazy summer has left me with zero time for writing and researching. Hopefully, I will get back on track with it in the near future. If anyone would like to take over any of the lists or boards mentioned in No. 2, let me hear from you. Otherwise, I will continue to host them. 1. The Inman Compendium is on vacation
    2. The Inman Compendium Mail List
    3. We are leaving after lunch for our mecca to KS. A lot different than the old story-book destination, eh? The plans are to return on the 25th of June with visitors awaiting us. Then when they leave we head to my father's family reunion on the 1st of July. And of course, there's more company when we return. The point? I won't be available very much until after the first of July. Please hold your correspondence until then. I don't want it to get lost on my server while I am gone. The problems I had last week with copies of blank bio pages being sent out should be corrected. So far I have only heard from 3 of over 300 on the mail list that they recieved these test entries. So I am not sure what went wrong, but the forwarding to the Rootsweb list has been removed. I found the CA birth records online last night and got them processed and loaded before I quit. There are still some links that need to be removed. But I thought you might want to look through them while I was gone. The TX records are online also. I have started on the marriage and divorce records but did not finish them. These, and the birth and death records, will be updated when I return. I was supposed to be converted to DSL service Monday, but the phone lines are messed up. I am realy looking forward to this new, faster service. If anyone has any experience with this, please let me know. Edie Rodriguez has forced me in to the next era of computing by forcing me to use my IRQ software. IRQ is kin to the old Internet Relay Chat. You can set up a virtual chat room with one, or more, fellow researchers typing and conversing in real time via the web. The software is free at www.irg.com as well as many pages of instruction. It is worth a try. If you want to add your IRQ# to the web site, just send it to me. I will add it to the guest book, researchers pages and the web site list. Finally, I am thinking of discontinuing the Inman Web Site list and going to an Inman Web Ring. A ring is a loose affiliation of web sites that deal with a similar subject. There is a link on the bottom of my main page for the SurnameWeb ring, my host. I would place the Inman ring right there as well. The purpose of the ring is to let people who find our respective pages know that there are more sites dealing with the same subject. And that they can use this ring to contact just those sites. Hopefully, someone searching for the Inman name can anything they want via these links. They will not have to do further searches on the web. They will not have to go looking through the Web Site list, if they even find it. For those Inman researchers who have a web site, please think it over and let me know, after the 1st, if you are interested in joining such a ring. That's all for now. Take care and see you on the other side. --- This email is going to Jim's email list and to the Rootsweb List which is why you might get two copies. Please go to http://inman.surnameweb.org/guest/guestlist.html if you wish to be removed from this list. If you have questions you can email me at inman@surnameweb.org.

    1. From the Listowner: MSN is fixed
    2. Dr. Barbara Inman Beall
    3. Ever since the beginning of our weather problems, I haven't been able to access my MSN account on my computer. No wonder. The sunflare or microburst put my location as Aruba. (No wonder I couldn't get a dial tone). Now that I am back in the United States, my MSN is operating once again. I have loaded most of the Spence pictures onto the MyFamily.com site. Have one left to do. I scanned it; can't remember what I called it. As soon as I find it, I'll load it onto the site. 1. Sarah Inman Boone????
    2. Dr. Barbara Inman Beall
    3. I received some information from a Graham researcher today and found something interesting in the contents: a claim that Daniel Boone had a first wife by the name of Sarah Inman????? Has anyone ever heard this before?? I have John Mack Faragher's "Daniel Boone: The Life and Legend of an American Pioneer"--a fairly recent biography of Daniel Boone. I could find no reference to a first wife named Sarah. I was just wondering whether anyone else had ever heard of such a person.
