Hi Thanks for the response. One bit of info I did not include in my submittal was that according to my Asa's 1880 census, his parents were born in NJ. So I guess the Davis line you have may not be correct. One other thing and perhaps you have also experienced this and that is the large numbers of Asa Davis'. Several years ago the Mormon data base had over 300 line items associated with Asa Davis. Unfortunately it appears my guy or his descendants were not record makers or gene interested people. Finally, if you didn't know, the given name of Asa is a biblical name - an Asa was the great grandson of King solomon. Thanks Eldon
