Hi Donna, Cheryl Erfurth generously sent me information on the Sullivans. The Sullivan I was searching for was of a second marriage. However, the info she sent shows the half-sister who married a Sullivan also came to Madison Co, and this one is related to me. I just received the info and am digesting it. It appears from the material that one of the Sullivan families had a child born 1854 in Ohio and the other Sullivan family had a child born 1854 in IN. If they came together and the census is accurate, they came to Madison Co in 1854. Also coming probably at the same time were the Greelees. The Sullivan & Greelee wives were children of John Sayre who owned land in both Meigs Co Oh & Mason Co (W)VA (just across the river). The first wife of John Sayre was Mary Weaver, a sister to my Henry Weaver, Jr. Also coming from Monongalia Co (W)VA to Meigs Co & Mason Co were Mary & Henry's brothers, John & Nicholas Weaver. Many of these families intermarried with into the Roush family that came from Shenendoah Co VA. There were several early Sayres and Roush families in both Meigs & Mason Co. It would not surprise me if there wasn't some kind of connection with your family. If you have any Weaver, Sayre or Roush connection, I may have some kind of info for you. Happy Digging. - Lou in Indiana
