Hi Zelda, My one experience with finding nothing on someone in any resource. I had taken the death date from the grave stone. Did learn of his widow applying for a pension with enough info to write for the pension record. There I found that the grave stone had the right month and day but was two years off on the year. Going back to the newspaper with this new date of death, I got a ton of information including when he came to America, with whom, and names of his family who did not join him the trek to USA. I'm not sure how to tell you to duplicate my story, but most small Indiana towns had coverage of all deaths. Maybe just looking for alternate death dates might work. Dorothy Vekasi
