Hi Everybody, Today I went to the JONES Cemetery on the corner of 425 E & 600 N. I wrote down as many names and dates as I could read. JONES CEMETERY: There are many open spaces between the stones, I am sure there are alot more people buried here but the stones have long since disappeared. Died July 19, 1860 age 2 yrs --Mos. Sarah wife of Peter Isle died Mar 8, 186- 32 yrs 8 mos 20 das Stone missing just the bas is there (this could be where the little above belongs. Age 6 yrs 3 mos 5 das ROW 6: John T son of -- & -- Bagly? died 15 yrs 9 mos 7 das Henry Childs died Jan 30, 1865 age 44 yrs 9 mos 29 das On the south side of the stone are 2 more names: Daniel B Childs died May 29, 1868 ? yrs 2 mos 11 das Mary O Childs died Jul 14, 1868 or 69 ROW 7: Jessie Melvin son of Z & A Cook died Dec 26, 1862 Broken stone - only chips left No writing Large Monument 7' or 8' tall. On the South side it says Father & Mother. West side says HANCOCK. North side : Sarah J wife of PS Hancock died Oct 14, 1882 Age 50 yrs 7 mos 26 das South side: Pollard S Hancock died Jul 25, 1875 Age 43 yrs 1 mo 13 das ROW 8: Sheridan son of PS & ? Hancock died Sep 10, 18?? There may be some typos in this and maybe some incorrect readings of the stones, but this is the best I could see. I am not responsible for these errors.
