Hi Lou - Thanks for the information on the Webb line. I will put it on file as who knows what might comeup tomorrow that would open a new door! I am always looking for a new opening but have slowed my research at the present and have started to organize my material for another book on he Eastes line. I published "The Eastes Families of Indiana" in hardback in 1994. This book gave all the history that was available on Obadiah Eastes & Francis Harvey that was known at that time. Their youngest son Holman married Ruth Webb, my g-great grandmother. Since the book was distributed, many readers came forth and we found the Father of Obadiah Eastes was Elisha Estes/Eastes/Eastes who died in Roane Co., TN in 1818. Elisha had 8 other children and we now have many more branches to the family. This new book will cover over 1000 people and I am soliciting pictures from my Eastes contacts to be shown with their entries. I have two pictures of Ruth Webb, daughter of Jonathon Webb and wife of Holman Eastes that will be included in this book. I would like to to know more about Ruth's line but I am not getting any younger and I feel I should document what I have in my files so it will not be lost. Thanks again for your information Best Regards Roy Eastes Gulfport, MS <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< END >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> When we record our heritage we take great pride in looking at our list of ancestors and admire their origins, migrations and accomplishments. But, what good is it - unless it’s true? We need stories and rumors, they are great and often lead to the truth! BUT - Help eliminate errors. Don't take anything as Fact! Check references for validity! If we don’t our children’s children will be led down false trails and they will never be able to find their true heritage.
