I have information oh the Shinkle, Apple and Bolander (I have it spelled Bolender) families that I will share. My connection to the Shinkle family is, my great aunt Ella Cooper was married to James W. Shinkle. James and Ella took my fathers brother and sister in to raise when their parents died. At that time they were living in Everton, Dade County, MO. My great grandparente, Joel and Winnie Cooper were also living with James and Ella. James parents were Daniel Shinkle b. 02/23/1836 in Felicity, OH and Jane Moorehead b. 07/19/1842. His grandparents were Martin Shinkle b. 10/15/1807 Felicity, OH and Nancy Ann Plummer b. 10/05/1804. They were married in Marion County, IN 01/19/1831. James great grandparents were Peter Shinkle b. 04/19/1778 Lancaster County, PA and Barbara Bolender who died 07/01/1842 in Ohio. Floyd, Am interested in ANY Apples in OHIO and INDIANA. I have a brick wall that is my 3Xgreatgrandmother, Sarah Apple she married Enos Boyd also grandfather in 1832 in Wayne Co. IN All census info shows she was born in Ohio. They settled for several years in Madison Co. Info shows she was born in 1818, Would you have any connections to this Apple???
