If You Could See Your Ancestors (Nellie Winslow Simmons Randall) If you could see your ancestors All standing in a row, Would you be proud of them or not? Or don't you really know? Some strange discoveries are made In climbing family trees. And some of them, you know, Do not particularly please. If you could see your ancestors All standing in a row, There might be some of them perhaps You shouldn't care to know. But here's another question Which requires a different view - If you could meet your ancestors Would they be proud of you?

I am looking for information on Levi and Ida Mary (Larson) ANTRIM. They moved from Clinton County, Ohio to Huntsville, near Anderson, Indiana sometime around 1828. He may have owned a hotel in the area. They appear in the 1850 census in Huntsville. Their children, Levi C., Mary A. and William Henry Harrison were born in Ohio while James Madison b Dec 17, 1849 (my great grandfather) was born in Indiana. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks for your help. Paul Tornatta

Hello Phyllis, Does the library have obituaries? I'm looking for death information on Rachel Johnson, died after 1900, "in Anderson". Her husband James T Johnson predeceased her. Children: Martha Haney, Edward Johnson, Lura Dickover, Turner Johnson, Zella Clark, Theo Risk. It is said that Rachel's funeral was at the home of the McGinnis family in Muncie, but she apparently is not buried in Muncie. Thanks, Virginia >I work in the "Local History and Genealogy Department" of the Anderson Public >Library. Marilyn: I work in the "Local History and Genealogy Department" of the Anderson Public Library. I hate to bearers of bad news but there are no marriage records for the time period you are interested in in Madison County. Our court house burned in 1840 & 1880 and the only records that survived were deed records. Sorry!! Phyllis Leedom pleedom@and.lib.in.us
