    1. [INMADISO-L] GEORGE W. BURNETT BORN 1862, IN
    2. Hello List, I am seeking the parents and siblings of GEORGE W. BURNETT, born in Indiana, November 15, 1862. I have no idea the county. That was all I could find on census, death certificate, etc. On a tape, made when she was very old, his wife Mary, related this story told to her by GEORGE. George's mother was killed in an accident or died suddenly, when he was an infant. There were other children, don't know ages or how many. George was adopted by Shoemaker/Shumaker?Shoebaker??? He lived with them until the courthouse burned. It destroyed the adoption records. I don't know his age at the time this occurred. He was in Sumner County, Kansas on April 14, 1900. On that day he married Mary M. Bell. George said he couldn't have left if the records were still available for his adoption. Reason unknown. When he left Indiana, he took back his birth name BURNETT, and continued to use it until his death. This is a brick wall. I would really appreciate any help or advise you could provide. If you have any information, you may Email me at JANETSQUAW@aol.com Thank you in advance for your help. Respectfully yours, Jan

I also have checked Latter Day Saints web site and other web site searches and nothing is coming up that matches my John J. Chapman. Anyone with local access perhaps to book records would be helpful. 1. [INMADISO-L] Chapman
    2. Looking for descendants of Rachel Chapman and husband James M Goble. Rachel was the daughter of John and Fannie Chapman of Hancock Co., In. Rachel was born 1851. Also looking for info on Fannie who married to John Chapman.. Not sure when they married, cannot find record but could be in Ohio or Indiana and married sometime in the 1840s. Fannie's maiden name is mixed up in family records, some records say her last name was Hays, some say Hinst and one says George! Anyone know of her and when she died? She is not next to her husband John Chapman at cemetery in Hancock Co. and John died in 1865. Patti

    1. [INMADISO-L] Cemetery Info
    2. Hi - if anyone (who lives) in Madison County can help me I'd appreciate it. I'm looking for address / phone numbers for following: Fall Creek Cemetery Pendleton, IN (my g-g-grandmother is buried there & probably her spouse) Also - the person I'm referencing above had her funeral at Clayte-Sells Funeral Home (I believe in Pendleton or Anderson) - but I'm sure it's changed names. My g-grandfather's funeral was at Chapel-Waltz Funeral Home in Anderson - again I'm sure it's changed names. If anyone has current names/addresses (actually if I have a name I can look up address) for the funeral homes I'd appreciate it. As far as the cemetery - I can't find it in Rootsweb or Cemetery Junction or on a yellow pages. Thanks, Wendy wendy.littrell@juno.com

    2. Hi Becky No I'm not a Hoosier. But my GG grandparents were back in 1838-1864. With the Madison Co courthouse burning twice its tough getting records in that area for the era. I'm a Cornhusker but have lived in Des Moines WA since 1953. Eldon
