DAILY TIMES MAIL BEDFORD INDIANA MONDAY, JANUARY 15, 1979 Dorothy Opal Arthur, 55, of R. 1, Springville (Popcorn vicinity), died Sunday at the Bedford Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Born Aug. 6, 1923, in Monroe County to Elza and Hazel Ferguson Beyers, she married Ray Arthur on June 3, 1944, in Perry, Fla., and he survives. Also surviving are the mother of Terre Haute; one son, Michael Arthur of Springville; one sister, Ilene Chambers of Terre Haute, and two grandsons. She was preceded in death by a brother and her father. Mrs. Arthur was a member of the Springville Pentecostal Church. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home with the Rev. Chester Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Beyers Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4:00 p.m. today.
