TIMES MAIL BEDFORD INDIANA MONDAY, AUGUST 24, 1981 James Lee Bagwell, 57, R. 18, Bedford, died suddenly at 5:50 p.m. Sunday at Bloomington Hospital where he had just entered. Born Dec. 15, 1923, in Heltonville, he was the son of Melburn and Esta (Sowders) Bagwell. He was a retired employee of Crulo Trucking Co. He was married to Glodenah Smith in 1948 and she survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Jamie Sue Bagwell, at home; one brother, Onis Bagwell, R. 18, Bedford; three sisters, Mrs. Albert (Dorothy) Clements, Rio Hondo, Texas; Mrs. Ruth Mills, Bedford;. and Mrs. Ethel Wampler, Sanders, Ind. One brother and one sister preceded him in death. He attended the Grace United Methodist Church; was a veteran of World War II and a member of Teamsters Local 135. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Day & Carter Mortuary with the Rev. John Todd officiating. Burial will be in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Graveside military rites will be accorded by Gillen Post No.33. Friends may call at the mortuary after 1 p.m. Tuesday.
