    3. DAILY TIMES MAIL BEDFORD INDIANA SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 1953 City Native Dies At 71 Marshall L. Steele, 71, died Friday evening at his residence at 210 West Fourteenth street in Bloomington. He had been ill three years. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Effie K. Steele; three sons, Ralph and James of Bloomington and Fred of San Pedro, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Sarajane Bradshaw of Buckley, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. L. G. Holmes of Louisville and Edna Steele of Bedford; one brother, Jesse O. Steele of Louisville. He was a retired engine foreman with the Illinois Central Railroad. The decedent was at member of the Fairview Methodist Church, a past master of the Monroe Masonic Lodge and a past worthy patron of the Order Eastern Star. He was born in Bedford and was the son of Samuel and Alice Deckard Steele. Mr. Steele and his wife moved to Bloomington in 1912. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Fairview Methodist Church with. Rev. W. N. Burton and Rev. R. C. Pierson officiating. Burial will be at Palestine, Ill. The body will lie in state at the Day Funeral Home after 7:00 p.m. today. Honorary pull bearers include: Robert Ingalls and Joseph Manzenberger.
