JOSEPH HELTON DEAD Remains Being Returned Here From Denver Colorado For Burial Mrs. James Hirscher, 2212 J street, received a telegram today from her brother, Kenneth Helton, in Denver, Colo., announcing the death there Wednesday of her step-mother, Mrs. Joseph Helton, who succumbed to pneumonia , The deceased was a native of Lawrence county having been born in February, 1860, near Heltonville and before her marriage to Joseph Helton in 1887 was Miss Mabel Brewer, Her entire life, with the exception of the past two years, had been spent in this county, she having moved to Denver in 1927. She was a member of the Heltonville Baptist church. Her husband preceded her to the grave several years ago, She is survived by five children, Kenneth Helton, of Denver; Raleigh Helton, of Indianapolis; Mrs. Eva Peters, of Heltonville; Miss Vera Helton, of Denver; four step-children, Charles Helton, of Salt Lake City, Utah; Mrs. Gertrude Gillette, Madison. Wis.; Mrs. Leo Sage, Johnson City, Tenn., and Mrs. James Hirscher, of Bedford. A number of grandchildren also survive. Her son. Kenneth, and daughter Miss Vera, are accompanying the body back to this county for burial and are expected to arrive Saturday Definite funeral arrangements will not be made until the funeral party reaches here.
