BEDFORD WEEKLY MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA FRIDAY, AUGUST 18, 1899 Uncle Wash Smith, who had been living with his daughter, Mrs. Frank Hert in this city for some time, died Monday night. He was over 90 years old age and had been a slave. The body was taken to his old home in Springfield, Ky., Wednesday, leaving here on the accommodation for burial.
