HELTON Passed Away At home Of Daughter at 6 O'clock This Morning Mrs. Lydia Catherine Helton, aged 69 years, 8 months and 28 days, widow of Joseph A. Helton, passed away this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Browning, resident of First street between M and N following an illness from complications. Mr. Helton only recently preceded her to the grave (Feb 6). She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Fred Browning, Mrs. Robert Meadows, Mrs. Jeff Donica, Mrs. Howard Tanksley and Mrs. Grottie Todd all of this county; one son Elijah Helton, of Bloomington, four sisters, Mrs. Isabelle Helton, of Denver, Colo.; Mrs. John D. Rainey, of Heltonville; Mrs. Paulina Pearson of Laurel, Nebraska; Mrs. Gertrude White of Dexter, Iowa; one brother, David Brewer of Heltonville. The deceased united with the Heltonville Baptist church early in life and retained membership there at the time of her death. White definite funeral arrangements have not been made it is expected services will be conducted from the Gilgal church Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock followed by internment in the cemetery there.
