DAILY TIMES MAIL BEDFORD INDIANA SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 1953 Rosa Cooper, 69, Succumbs Rosa Lee Cooper, 69-year-old native of Brownstown, died at 12:30 a.m. today at the home of a daughter Mrs. Everett Burton, R. R. 1, Mitchell. Mrs. Cooper was born May 7, 1884 to George and Mary Hughes and was married to Lawrence Cooper March 1, 1900. Her husband died in 1934. The last of a family of 14 children, Mrs. Cooper was a member of the Mitchell Methodist Church. Surviving are six sons, Yuless, and Walter Cooper, both of Indianapolis, Harvey and Robert Cooper, both of R. R. 1, Mitchell, and Raymond and Lester Cooper, both of Bedford: three daughters, Mrs. Everett Burton, R. R. 1, Mitchell, Mrs. Herschel Jones, Reelsville, and Mrs. Frank Bundy, Mitchell; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Rites will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Sherwood & Ferguson Funeral Home and interment will be in the Mitchell Cemetery. Friends may call at the home of Mrs. Everett Burton on R. R. 1, Mitchell, after 4 p.m. today. DAILY TIMES MAIL BEDFORD INDIANA TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 10, 1953 Cooper Funeral Conducted here Services for Rosa Lee Cooper, R.R. 1, Mitchell who died Saturday, were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Sherwood & Ferguson Funeral Home with Rev. A. L. Emmert, pastor of the Mitchell Nazarene Church, officiating. Miss Helen Rayhill and Mrs. Hazel Taylor sang "Mansion Over the Hilltop" and "Going Down the Valley" with Gene Johnston at the organ. In charge of the flowers were John Cooper, Laverne Burton, Franklin Cooper, Walter Cooper, Marlyn Aker, Wanda, Barbara, Donna and Sandra Jones. Frank Bundy, Everett Burton, Herschel Jones, Everett Cooper, Sherman Cooper and Walter Cooper served as pallbearers. Interment was in the Mitchell Cemetery.
