THE TIMES MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA FRIDAY, AUGUST 19, 1988 GIFFORD, Ill. - John M. Branaman, 76, Country Health Nursing Home, Gilford, Ill., formerly of Jackson County, died at 8 a.m. Thursday at the nursing home. He was born Aug. 25, 1911, in Jackson County, to Steven Albert and Effie Evaline Mullins Branaman. He married Emily Jane Stancombe, and she died Sept 3, 1983. He was a retired farmer. Surviving are three sons, Clifford Branaman and Gary Branaman, both of Illinois, and John Branaman, of Tennessee; two daughters, Maxie Branaman, Indianapolis, and Joy Lee Mack, Indianapolis; one brother, Ernest Branaman, Norman, and two sisters, Hazel Starnes and Nettie Starnes, both of Jackson County. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Jones Funeral Home in Heltonville. Burial will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday.
