DAILY TIMES MAIL BEDFORD INDIANA SATURDAY JUNE 21, 1947 MRS. CLAUDIA I. MARTIN IS DEAD Mrs. Claudia I. Martin, 71, died at 11:10 a.m. today at her home, 1402 U street, following an illness of four years. She had been seriously ill for the past year. She was born on November 8, 1875, north of Charlestown, Ind., the daughter Of Jacob and Malinda Prity Hartman. She was married on December 8, 1904, to Franch C. Martin. Surviving are the husband, a son, Athan Martin of Bedford; a granddaughter, Miss Elizabeth Ann Martin of New Symria Beach, Fla., and a brother, Charles L Hartman. The deceased was a member of the First Methodist Church here, the Order of Eastern Star No. 129 of Bedford, Tarum White Shrine No. 1. of which she was a past worthy priestist. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Sherwood & Ferguson Funeral Home. The body was taken to the funeral home and will be returned to the residence at 4:00 p.m. Sunday where it will lie in state until the hour of the funeral. Officiating at the funeral will be Rev. Ezra L. Hutchens. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery.
