Dwyer of Shoals, mother of Mrs. Hady Porter, of Bedford, who died at 1:00 am July 17 at the home of her son, Vincent Dwyer in Terre Haute, were held at 2:00 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Shoals Methodist Church. The rites were in charge of Rev. S. E. Stroud, church pastor, who was assisted by Rev. E. A. McBride. and were under direction of the Dan Dillon Funeral home of Indian Springs. "Lead Kindly Light" "He'll Understand and Say Well Done" and "Beyond the Sunset" were rendered by Misses Betty Jean Day, Doris Kunkel, Doris Hays, Norma Lee Conrad and Mrs. Mary Lou Sorrells to piano accompaniments by Joyce Chenoweth. Flora tributes were in charge of Clarice Melvin, , Ada Abels, Patty, Mary Louise and Virginia Dwyer, Rita Porter, Ruth Eddington, Donna Sue Crays, Joan Dillon, Jewell Howell, Bernice Mills, Jo and Eula George, Doris Johnson and Kay Billings. Pall bearers were Willie and Carl Dawson, Curt Abel, Hady Porter, Ray Chandler and Marion Wetter. Internment was in Spring Hill cemetery at Shoals.
