DAILY TIME MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA FRIDAY, DEC. 8, 1961 CHARLES A. DILLEY PASSES AWAY Charles A. Dilley, 53, of 1013 Q street, died at 5 p.m. Thursday at his residence, following a lengthy illness. A draftsman by trade, Mr. Dilley was born August 8, 1908 in Bedford, the son of Doyle and Kate Lucas Dilley. He married Ruth Allen, June 14, 1937 in Bedford, who survives. Other survivors include the mother, Mrs. Kate Dilley of Bedford; a sister, Mrs. Nelson Sears, also of Bedford and three nieces and one nephew. He was a member of the Elks Club No. 826 of Bedford and Draftsmens Union Local No. 76. Final rites will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home with the Rev. James Jones, pastor of the Avoca Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Hamer cemetery in Spring Mill State Park. Friends may call at the Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home after 6 p.m. Today. Mr. Dilley was the great-great-grandson of Thomas L. Hamer, the pioneer settler of the Spring Mill Village.
