BEDFORD DAILY TIMES BEDFORD, INDIANA FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 1934 DEATH COMES TO OOLITIC WOMAN Mrs. Laban Roberts Succumbed Early Today At Home - Rites Sunday Afternoon Mrs. Vannie Colvin Roberts, 29 years old, wife of Laban Roberts, died at 4:15 o'clock this morning at her home in Oolitic after a six weeks illness. Following death the body was removed to the Roach Mortuary in Bedford for burial preparation and this forenoon was returned to the home where it will lie in state until the funeral. Funeral services will be held at the Oolitic Pentecost Mission Church, of which she was a member, at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon in charge of Rev. Henry Skinner. Burial will follow in the Christian Cemetery at Springville. Mrs. Roberts was a native of Lawrence county and was born to Riley and Mary Voris Colvin September 1, 1905. She was united in marriage in Bedford March 6, 1926 to Laban Roberts and to their union three children were born, Kenneth, May and Mary Jewell all of whom with the husband survive. Other surviving relatives are two brothers, Roy and Doyle Colvin, and six sisters, Mrs. Dessie Henson, Mrs. Della Craig, Mrs. Mary Neeley, Mrs. Ethel Roberts and Misses Velma and Wilma Colvin all of Lawrence county.
