DAILY TIMES MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA FRIDAY, DEC. 8, 1961 NORA A. MITCHELL SUCCUMBS Nora A. Mitchell, 83-year-old resident of 706 P street, died at 8:50 p.m. Thursday at her home. She had been in failing health for three months. Mrs. Mitchell was born November 30, 1900 in Lawrence County, to William Riley and Ruth Woodsmall Williams. She was united in marriage to Jesse E. Mitchell, December 30, 1900 in Lawrence County, who survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Arvil Guthrie of Bedford and Mrs. Leonard Fender of Indianapolis; three grandchildren, Kenneth Guthrie of Florissant, Mo., Mrs. Patty Thrasher, Pittsburg, Pa., and Tom Fender, Acushnet, Mass.; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Maude Pender, Bedford; and one brother, L. D. Williams, Route 6, Bedford. A brother, William L. Williams preceded her in death. She was a member of the Central Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Central Church of Christ. Burial will be in the Pinhook Cemetery under the direction of the Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home. Friends may call at the Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home after 6 p.m. today. The body will lie in state at the church after 1 p.m. Sunday. NOTE: Cemetery listings say she was born November 23, 1878.
