TIMES MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 1987 OWENSBURG - William S. Roberts, 75, of Owensburg, died at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday in St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. He had been ill three years. He was born April 8, 1912, in Martin County, to William F. and Birdie Cobb Roberts. He was never married. He was a retiied employee of Central Foundry in Bedford and a member of United Auto Workers 440. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of Owensburg Baptist Church. Survivors include two brothers, L. Dale Roberts, R. 12, Bedford, and Junior F. Roberts, R. 1, Williams, and one sister, Mrs. Rose Hodges, Bedford. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ernie and Paul, and one sister, Zella. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Day & Carter Mortuary, the Rev. Merla Craig officiating. Burial will be in Owensburg Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary from noon to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. to service time Friday.
