    3. BEDFORD MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA FRIDAY, APRIL 12, 1901 The four years old child of Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Mavity, which died at Carlisle, was brought here Saturday, and the funeral services took place at the home of John Felkner, Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, services conducted by Elder W. B. Chrisler. Interment at Green Hill Cemetery. ******************************** OBITUARY. Mabel, the four year old daughter of Seward and Estella Mavity, whose death occurred April 4th, at the home of the parents, in Carlisle, Sullivan county, was a very interesting and highly intelligent child, much loved by all who knew her. Her untimely death is especially heartrending to the father and the mother. Two of their loved ones had preceded her and they fondly hoped that the afflicting hand of death was stayed and that their sweet Mabel would be spared to grow up to womanhood to be a stay and consolation to them in the evening of life. But it is otherwise. The consolation to the bereaved parents is the words of Him who, while among men took little children in his arms and said "Suffer little children to come unto me and forbid then not, for of such is the kingdom of heaven." At 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon the funeral was held at the residence of the grandfather, john Felkner, corner of 16th and H streets, by Elder W. B. Chrisler, after which the remains of the loved child were laid to rest in Green Hill.
