BEDFORD MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA FRIDAY, APRIL 26, 1901 Jesse Underwood died Monday forenoon, of consumption, at his home in the north part of town. ********* The funeral of Jesse Underwood, who died April 22, of consumption, took place at his home on North H street, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the services being conducted by Elder W. B. Chrisler. He was born December 8th, 1873, in Jackson county, Ind., and was 28 years, 4 months and 14 days old. He was a member of the Sons of Veterans of this city. He leaves a mother, one sister, three brothers, a wife and one child to mourn his loss. NOTE: Jesse S. Underwood: 8 Dec 1872 – 22 Apr 1901. Burial in Beech Grove Cemetery, Bedford, IN.
