BEDFORD DAILY TIMES BEDFORD, INDIANA TUESDAY, AUGUST 28, 1934 ILLNESS FATAL TO AGED WOMAN Mrs. Margaret Jane Duncan Dies At Daughter's Home Here After Long Illness Mrs. Margaret Jane Duncan, aged resident of the city, died at 5 a.m. today at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Cleve Starr, 1914 * street, following a seven year's illness with complications due to her advanced age. Following death the remains were removed to the Emerson - Thurman funeral home for burial preparation and will remain there until definite funeral services have been made. Tentative funeral arrangements call for services to be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday but the place has not been decided upon. Burial will be made in Christian Cemetery at Springville. The deceased was born in Indianapolis on October 30, 1841 to John and Rebecca Lake McCormick and at the time of her death was 81 years, 9 months and 29 days old. She was married on October 6, 1875 to John Duncan who passed away some thirty years ago. She was a member of the Springville Methodist Episcopal Church. Besides the daughter, Mrs. Duncan is survived by three sons, Alex Duncan, Springville; Lafayette Duncan, Bloomington and Walter Duncan, Springville; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
