TIMES MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA SATURDAY, DECEMBER 7, 1985 Violet Fields, 77, R. 12, Bedford died at 2:20 a.m. today at the Bedford Medical Center.. She had been ill since November, 1981. She was born April 15, 1908?, in Lawrence County, to Samuel and Ida Skeen Pierce. She married Charles Fields, Sr., May 4, 1927, and be died April 22, 1979. She was a member of Hilltop Pentecostal Church. Surviving are three sons, Charles Fields, Jr., Bedford, Allen Wayne Fields, R. 2, Springville, and Carl L. Fields, Indianapolis, two brothers, Morgan and Ray Pierce, both of Bedford, and two sisters, Hattie Turner and Stella Duncan, both of Bedford. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Herschel, Obie, Charles and Tom Pierce, and four sisters; Nellie, Lottie, Eva and Laura. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Day & Carter Mortuary, the Revs. David Brock and Claude Cobb officiating. Burial will be in Hilltop Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary from 2 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. Sunday until the service time.
