TIMES MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA SUNDAY, MARCH 29, 1986 COLUMBUS - Randel E. Murphy, 45, 443 Colliar St., Columbus, died at 2:25 p.m. Thursday at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born Feb. 13, 1941, in Charleston, to Everett and Lena Blackwell Murphy. He married Susan Smith May 19, 1961, and she survives. He was a member of Garden City Church of Christ and the Moose Lodge in Columbus. He was employed with Sadlers Packing Company 22 years and the past three years with Roberts Asphalt Company. Surviving with the wife are one son. Tony R. Murphy, Columbus; two daughters. Tammy R. Murphy, Longwood, Fla., and Teri R. Jackson, Columbus; one grandson; the parents of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two brothers, Roy Murphy, Columbus, and Fred Murphy, Hope, Ind.; and three sister, Mrs. Verla Todd, Norman, Mrs. Bernetta Hillenburg, Heltonville, and Mrs. Shirley Smith, Bedford. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Garden City Church of Christ in Columbus. The Revs. Steve Kehrer and Bill Eaton will officiate and burial will be in Daugherty Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Reed & Jewell Funeral Home in Columbus. The family suggests that memorials be designated to the Garden City Church of Christ.
