TIMES MAIL, BEDFORD, INDIANA FRIDAY, JUNE 5, 1992 PAOLI - William Pearson, 71, Paoli, died Wednesday at Bloomington Hospital. Born in Shawneetown, Ill., he was the son of Bloomer William and Eva (Holland) Pearson. He married Sheila Slayton on May 30, 1969, and she survives. He was a retired truck driver and an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the First Armored Division. Survivors with the wife are three sons: Larry William Pearson, Perry, F1a., George Wayne Pearson, West Baden; and Randall Ray Pearson, Paoli; one daughter, Sandra Pearson McFelea, Paoli; two stepdaughters, Roxanna Turner and Donita Turner, both of Paoli; one brother, Theodore Alspaugh, Marion; two sisters: Cora Mae Cox, Paoli; and Mary Jenkins, Rockford, Ill.; 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Dillman-Ellis Funeral Home, Paoli, with the Rev. B. C. Goodpasture officiating. Burial will be at Community Cemetery where graveside military rites will be conducted by the Paoli Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion Walter W. Benson Post 76 of French Lick.
