TIMES MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA JULY 8, 1984 Alice Southern, 85, R. 14 Bedford, died Saturday at Bedford Medical Center. Born Oct. 22, 1898, In Monroe County, she was the daughter of King A. and Mary (Stillions) Deckard. She was of the Pentecostal faith. Survivors include one son, Eugene Southern of Bedford; four daughters, Marie Douglas of Springville, Ruth Eads of Bloomington, Maudlean McNeal of Bedford and Audlean Brothers of Mitchell; three brothers, Curt Deckard of Bedford, and Ott Deckard and Herbert Deckard of Bloomington; 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, nine great-great grandchildren and five step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roma Southern. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Day Mortuary in Bloomington, with Rev. Billy Turpin. officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Ebal Cemetery.
