TIMES MAIL, BEDFORD, INDIANA TUESDAY, JUNE 19, 1990 PAOLI - Donald K. Carpenter, 76, Paoli, died at 1:40 a.m. today at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. Born in New Albany June 9, 1914, he was the son of Guy and Lollie (Mercer) Carpenter. He married Frances Kibler June 9, 1972, and she survives. He retired after 40 years with White-Haines Optical Company in Louisville, and was a World War II Army veteran. Survivors include one son: Randy Carpenter, Newark, Ohio; one stepson. Phillip Kibler, PaoIi, two daughters: Cheryl Havens, Jeffersonville, and Cathy Norton, Naperville, Ill; two sisters: Betty Carpenter. Louisville, and Virginia Kirkham, Prospect, Ky., and nine grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Dillman-Ellis Funeral Home in Paoli with Rev. Howard Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Syria Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Wednesday.
