SUNDAY HERALD TIMES, BEDFORD, INDIANA SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 8, 1998 ELLETTSVILLE- Doyle C. Colvin, 79, of Ellettsville, formerly of Bedford, died Friday at the Richland-Bean Blossom Health Center in Ellettsville. Born Feb. 27, 1918, in Lawrence County, he was the son of John Riley and May (Voorhies) Colvin. He was a retired minister and a car salesman at Chase Chevrolet in Bedford. He was a member of the Oolitic Baptist Church, founder and pastor of the First Southern Baptist Church of Bedford and former pastor of the Knights Ridge Baptist Church. He attended the Ellettsville house of Prayer. Survivors include two sons, Rodney Colvin of Bedford and Randy Colvin of Ellettsville; one daughter, Sharon Kemp of Ellettsville; 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey (Stailey) Colvin in 1985; three brothers; and seven sisters. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Larry Mitchell and the Rev. Richard Tallman officiating. Burial will be at Springville Christian Cemetery. Friends may call 2-9 p.m. today and 10 a.m. until services Monday at the funeral home.
