TIMES MAIL, BEDFORD, INDIANA FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 25, 1983 Johnnie Herald, 67, R. 3, Mitchell, died at 12:06 p.m. Wednesday at the Bloomington Hospital. He was born Sept. 1, 1916, in Jackson County, Ky., to Jerry and Nancy McIntosh Herald. He was married Dec. 4, 1954, to Tilda Cook, who survives He was a retired employee of Ford Aerospace in Bedford and served in the US Army during World War II. Surviving with the wife are three Sons, John Allen Herald, Jerry Herald and Tom Herald, all of Mitchell; four daughters, Brenda Morgan, Bloomington, Charlene Herald, Nancy Foddrill and Cindy VanMeter, all of Mitchell; 15 grandchildren, and one sister, Ruth Wonts, Neon, Ky. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Chastain Funeral Home in Mitchell, the Rev. Dearl Cooper officiating. Burial will be in the Mitchell Cemetery with graveside military honors by the Cecil C. Martin American Legion Post Friends may call at the funeral home at any time.
