TIMES MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA SUNDAY, MARCH 29, 1986 Hazel Fern Evans, 84, R. 14. Bedford, died at 5:12 a.m. today at Dunn Memorial Hospital. She was born Jan. 15, 1902, in Lawrence County, to William and Carrie Bridwell Evans. She was a retired teacher. Survivors include one brother, Harry Evans, R. 14, Bedford; two sisters, Ada Freeman, Bloomington, and Dorothy Hollars. Bedford. A brother, Norman, and a sister, Roberta Wininger are deceased. Miss Evans was a graduate of Central Normal College with an A.B. degree and from Cincinnati Bible Seminary and Indiana University with an M.A. degree. She had taught at Needmore and Springville schools, Emminence High School, Mississienewa High School and at Eastern for three years. She had taught at Florida College, Temple Terrace in Florida and was with Northwood Institute at West Baden for 14 years. She also taught at Oolitic and Shawswick junior high schools. She taught full-time for 46 years and was a part-time volunteer for 14 years. She began teaching Bible while in high school. Services will be at the Church of Christ in Oolitic, the day and time to be announced later by Day & Carter Mortuary.
