DAILY TIMES-MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA THURSDAY, MAY 18, 1961 ELIZABETH NIKIRK DIES Elizabeth Nikirk, 95, of Route 2, Bedford, passed away at 12:05 p.m. Wednesday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Luda Broglin of Heltonville, Route 4. She had been in failing health four weeks. Mrs. Nikirk was born August 2, 1865 in Monroe County, the daughter of William and Sophia Kinser Miller. She was united in marriage to Homer McClellen Nikirk, who preceded her in death September, 1930. Survivors include four sons, William Nikirk, Route 2, Bedford, Isaac Nikirk, Oolitic, David Nikirk, Route 2, Bedford and Theodore Nikirk, at home; one daughter, Mrs. Luda Broglin of Heltonville; one brother, David Miller of Heltonville; 36 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. Five children preceded her in death. She was a member of the Hilltop Pentecostal Church. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will take place in the Mt. Ebel Cemetery in Monroe County under the direction of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Friends may call at the Day & Carter Mortuary after 6 p.m. today.
