TIMES MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA MONDAY, JUNE 26, 1989 MITCHELL - Robert Lewis Porter, 59, R. 3, Mitchell, died at 2 a.m. Sunday at his residence. He was born Feb. 27, 1930, in Washington County, to Clifford and Sylvia Chancy Porter. He married Joyce Murphy Oct. 25, 1984, and she survives. He was a retired security guard at Spring Mill State Park, a member of Blue River Christian Church, and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Survivors Include his wife, Joyce; two sons: Vincent and Michael Porter, both of Louisville; two brothers: William Porter, Tallahassee, Fla., and Lloyd Porter, Indianapolis. One brother preceded him In death. Services will be at 10 am. Wednesday at Chastain Funeral Home, Rev. Barton officiating. Burial will be In Blue River Christian Cemetery with graveside rites by Cecil C. Martin American Legion Post 250. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and after 8 a.m. Wednesday.
