TIMES MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 26, 1975 Mabel Mathews, 89, who was living with a daughter at R. 1, Bedford, died at 5:40 a.m. today at the Bedford Medical Center where she was admitted Tuesday. She had been in failing health a few months and critically ill for three days. She attended the Oolitic Church of Christ. She was born at Oolitic on Dec. 8, 1885, a daughter of Gillman and Etta Giles Hennon. She married Patrick Mathews who passed away in January, 1919. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Elbert (Thelma) Hubbard of Bedford; one sister, Mrs. Violet Hubbard, Bedford; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A son, Wayne, and two sisters, Cecil and Dessie, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Friday at Day & Carter Mortuary with burial in Springville Christian Cemetery.
